Ganesha Mantras are most often used for the removal of obstacles. The idea is that the actual obstruction is not removed, but that we are personally transformed to be able to navigate the obstacles in life without being troubled or distracted by them.
An example is water in a stream – when it comes upon a boulder it just goes around it and keeps streaming. It doesn’t stop to complain about the boulder.
