The Entire Earth Is One Family

Vasudha = earth, world, and eva=alone, itself
Kutumbakam = One Little Family
This phrase is from the ancient Hindu text Maha Upanishad, and means “the world is one family.”
The chant reminds us that we are all connected to each other, and to something greater than ourselves. May the reflection on this principle encourage us to increase our compassion for ourselves, each other, and our shared world.
